Celebrating Vacation Rental Week at Wild Dunes Resort

Welcome to Charleston, where southern charm meets historic elegance, and every neighborhood island and street tells a story. As we celebrate National Vacation Rental Week, we invite you to experience the magic of our beloved city from the comfort of your own private retreat. At Wild Dunes Resort we're proud to offer a curated selection of vacation rentals that embody the spirit of the Lowcountry. We asked some of our amazing owners to provide their recommendations to enjoy not only their incredible homes, but also to get the most out of your experience on the Isle of Palms.

What makes your home unique?

“There is nothing better than an early morning cup of coffee on our balcony overlooking the beach and the ocean. The peaceful sounds of the birds, the breeze, and the waves, make it a wonderful refuge from modern life. The privacy of the master bedroom and the other 2 bedrooms allow everyone to get up when they please and the open floor plan lets us all gather every night to play games and hang out as a family.”

– Kyle & Elizabeth, Owners of Seagrove 2D

“The Moorings’ setting is most unique in that it overlooks the beautiful Morgan Creek Marina with almost immediate access to the Intracoastal Waterway, and on the other side, the Atlantic Ocean is only a 5-minute bike ride away. One of the beautiful golf courses in Wild Dunes, Harbor Course, is only steps away. Perhaps the most advantageous aspect of the setting is watching the breathtakingly beautiful sunsets from the screened-in porch.”

– Kenneth & Sandra, Owners of Moorings 506

“The house offers all of the benefits of being on a resort combined with the solitude of being on a quiet residential street. The location of the house couldn’t be more convenient – only a short walk from either beach or the resort amenities, including the pools, golf courses and tennis courts. Our home was rebuilt from the ground up in 2022. The end result of the renovation is a unique property that is beautiful to be in and thoroughly modern in amenities. Because the house is surrounded by trees, the large windows fill the house with light while making you feel like you’re in a treehouse. The large front deck is the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors day and night.”

– Barry & Karen, Owners of 15th on 57th

What are your favorite things to do at Wild Dunes, Isle of Palms, or the Charleston area?

“The best thing about Wild Dunes is the convenience. Everything you could want is within a short walk or drive. We love long walks on the beach. Our family takes full advantage of the resort amenities. There are things to do for all ages. We frequently go out to restaurants nearby or in Charleston. Sometimes we just sit on the deck and enjoy the weather and the view.”

“Wild Dunes is perfect for bicycling with miles of paved paths. The paths provide safety and a wonderful way to take in the beauty of the island. There is an abundance of good food of all cuisines in this area. Of course, we enjoy this! Shopping is great in Mt. Pleasant and Charleston. Last, but not least, we definitely enjoy learning all the history of the area and visiting historical sites.”

– Kenneth & Sandra, Owners of Moorings 506

What is your best advice to our guests to create the most memorable experience at your home?

“Enjoy the beach, have coffee on the patio in the morning and have wine on the patio at night! Walk the beach at night with flashlights and look for crabs with your kids. It doesn’t matter how old they are; our college kids still like to do it!”

– Kyle & Elizabeth, Owners of Seagrove 2D

“Other than making a few restaurant reservations our best advice is to just enjoy all that Wild Dunes has to offer.”

– Barry & Karen, Owners of 15th on 57th

“Take in all the access to the water that surrounds you from boating, paddle boarding, and walking on the beautiful beach of the Atlantic. If you enjoy tennis and golf, this is the place to be. Take the opportunity to learn and stay abreast of the history of the area. Above all, relax on the screened- in porch and watch the breathtakingly beautiful sunsets. You will not be disappointed.”
